Troubleshooting LearningSpace Video Playback

Windows 7/8 Active Plugins for Firefox

If have you have installed SPlayer and still can’t view videos due to blank screen follow these steps to active a plugin.

This problem could occur if Firefox has disabled the plugin or if the plugin has not been activated after installation.

 

1. From the Firefox Menu select Tools > Add-ons

2. Find the “SPlayer Video Player Plugin (disabled)” and set activation to “Always Activate” from the dropdown list at the right.

3. After activating log into Learningspace and click on Video Review.

DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP
Firefox users receive a message near the top of the window. A message will appear asking if you want to allow the SPlayer to run in the browser.  Click on “Allow”.

After you clicking on allow, a window will appear on the left hand side that wants you to make a final choice.
You are going to click the pull-down arrow (where the default shows Block Plugin) and select “Allow and Remember”.

The video should appear and work correctly.
